About this product
Lemongrass is an aromatic plant known for its fresh citrus-like fragrance and distinctive lemon character. When dried, the leaves or stalk pieces generally become pale green, yellow-green or light beige depending on the part of the plant. Its aroma is fresh and citrusy, while the flavour combines lemon notes with a mild herbal character. Dried lemongrass is commonly used in herbal infusions, tea blends, soups, broths, sauces and a range of Asian-inspired culinary preparations. It may be used alone or combined with herbs, spices and other botanical ingredients. The dried material can appear as cut leaves or small pieces of stalk. When infused or cooked, lemongrass contributes a recognizable citrus aroma without the acidity normally associated with fresh lemon juice.
